This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 21, 2008:
Peace should be celebrated and sought out daily. World peace is a quixotic dream, but we ought to celebrate life's little victories for peace.
If you went the entire day without a single contention, it is definitely worth celebrating.
I personally chose to celebrate peace with silence. Ten minutes of silence and time to just let my mind wander is the best celebration of inner and outer peace I have ever found. Many people choose to attempt to enhance this serenity with candles, chimes, mood-setters, and the like, however, this is simply clutter disrupting the peace to me. That is not to insult anyone who chooses to implement these things, but perfect peace is a nigh elimination of stimulus to every sense.
Watching the beauty lie,
