Life is a stage.
Acting is an inherent part of life. As much as anyone likes to think they are 100% themselves 100% of the time, we all change ourselves based on who we're around. This is not to say that we don't uphold the same values, have the same dreams, or know the same morals simply because the scenery is changed, but it does mean we adjust ourselves to whomsoever we are around.
Acting can include something as simply as the changing of wording to little white lies to dressing up (or down) to smiling when you're not happy. It is a simple and natural part of life.
The only true issue lies in how far we take this acting. Once the acting passes the brink of inborn personality, it becomes problematic. However, as long as one knows who they are, truly, this brink becomes quite visible, and steering clear of it is generally simple enough.
